last night

i was at a japanese but influenced by western culture party. What i mean by this is, we had an ACTUAL party... it was bad for a party.. but one cannot expect much from japanese people.. to begin with, japanese people dont usually have parties, they only have drinking sessions in restaurants and karaoke after "party".. now i believe our definition of party = LOUD MUSIC, alcohol (loads of it), hardly any lights, no chairs (no chance for people to sit therefore dance ppl dance~!) snacks... oh yeah drinking games...

Our choice of drinks are very different too.. Japanese people drink beer and sake.. we drink liquor, cocktails, wine and rarely beer... and also, japanese drinks are effing watered down...even the way we drink is different, i mean here the culture is you wait for the seniors to settle down and toast and then drink, and sometimes the seniors will force the juniors to drink loads and stuff.. we on the other hand, drink as we like...

needless to say, i didnt get drunk last night, (HELL! i only had 2 beers and sake-orange juice? because they ran out of alcohol... pah!)

but then again i got sandwiched by two very persistant international student boys... i dont mind one of them, because i thought he was hot, but the other one.. i was "errr" with him... so it was only 4 ppl dancing in the end, 3 foreigners and 1 japanese girl (the girl im bringing back) lol~! there were a few japanese boys trying to dance with us but then i dont know they backed off? why?!?!?!? i wanted to dance with them japanese boys, but they were intimidated by the foreigners ka na??!?!? sighhh...

it was funny last night.. because persistant-guy-whom-im-not-interested-in was being well, persistant... cornering me and in the end asked me for my number..and the other guy...(guy-whom-i-think-is-hot) noticed me trying to escape him, helped me escape.. hahaha.. he told me to say that i didnt bring my phone.. and yeah.. SAFE!!!!

tonight im going to another party with the hot foreign student boy.. yays!

i hope to attack more japanese boys this time.. :D

me and futsuki-chan (fuu-chan)--shes coming to brunei!

fuu-chan and guy who was trying to dance with us but failed

persistant guy and me

akio-kun and me.. (he's a half-ie thats why "akio" but latino look)

waiting for tonight.. lol

i wish.. wish...

everytime i go to harajuku, it always seem to rain on me.. literally and emotionally...

I went on a Sunday. Expecting to see the ever so famed cos-players, goth-lolis.. but no.. it was raining. therefore the show shall NOT go on? even if they were there.. it wouldnt be fun.. cos raindrops keep falling on my head...

it was even more depressing as we went shopping, i couldnt find anything to flatter my figure.. drat you japan! i mean its not like i couldnt wear the clothes... i could wear them.. and make myself look even more pregnant.. why is the fashion now flowy shirts?!?!? with huge-ass ribbons drawn across the chest region!? probably because im in japan.. clothes just need to make Japanese girls look like they ACTUALLY have breasts.. damn it all~!!!!

so depressed me walked along harajuku, and suddenly.. TOPSHOP!!! international brand = international sizes.. i was so estastic that when i found a little skirt, i didnt even consider the price, and just bought it~! when i found out that it was 10000yen.. i taken aback, but it was the first merchandise of the day~! hell man.. im getting it~!

next store.. i saw a cuute outfit... i wanted it but then not so sure about me wearing it.. and then a lady helped me.. she said it'll be fine.. and she helped me find matching outfits.. yeay~! i bought a whole outfit from that store.. so.. little by little i was happy again...

but then there wqas this ONE skirt - ONE skirt~! it was LOVELYYYYYYY too pretty to be true... i was classy.. it was sooo beautiful... but of course that came along with a price... yen 17000(gasp!) of course i didnt buy it.. i wish i did.. but im broke.. how shall i describe it.. it felt very "french"? white base with red flower patterns, and it was the flow-y types with a red sash acting as a belt.. and underneath the skirt, we can see hints of red ruffles coming out...length: up to knees (also available in blue)

but all in all clothes shopping in japan is just depressing if you arent a stick.. as i walked around, i see a few "chubby" japanese girls, and i wonder... where the hell do you get your clothes and how the hell do you manage to pull of the "japanese look"?!?!?!? i started reading blogs of "fat" girls online... seeing plus size fashion blogs.. yeah i was that depressed.. was very tempted to buy clothes online wondering if i was a size 12 or size 14.. but then some where in the middle i realised that i was neither.. and yeah i'm just turning anorexic again.. but its alright, im not particularly starving myself, hell if any, im just eating good food...

im so full of hate and anger towards my body right now... if only if only....

i wish i was fairer.. so i can wear clothes of any colour i want, so i can wear huge ass sunglasses with white frames... and maybe i can dye my hair brown

i wish i was not so blessed across the chest and the ass, so i can wear tubes, mini-skirts, jeans...

i wish i looked like ebi-chan

Ketsumeishi's Mata kimi ni aeru

Now thats HAWTTT..

sighh..

sorry for all the negativity here.. but yeah.. everyone gets their lows sometimes...

to make it up to y'all

Its CRAZY hot here~!

I think the heat is getting to me. I'm beggining to reminisce the Sea Game period. It's that bad...

I mean.. I believe that Brunei is hotter and much much more humid than Japan...

BUT!!!

Back home, we had air-conditioners at hand, we drive to work, school, play. In Japan, we have no air-conditioners, no fans... (generally they have a centralised air-con/heater thing in school.. BUT they only switch it on on the 26th?of June)worse of all NO cars... we walk/cycle to school..

I'm actually glad that I'm going home this summer. I think every summer I'll be leaving Tsukuba at this rate... This summer brazil... next summer hmmm... europe ka na?

speaking of HOT.. i shall continue with my obsession with HOT PINK in this blog too.. just to show how bored I am.. and how the heat is addling my wits...

out with the old...

in with the new...

I bought myself a new camera... I wanted something not too embarassing to carry around, something "me"... something slim (TRAVEL size... for I shall be doing a lot of that.. heh)

so.. i bought the marvelous, the beautiful, the ever so hawt.. the FANTABULOUS...

Fujifilm Finepix Z5fd..

what colour? HOT PINK of course...

and also in addition to that, i bought the casing, matching colour.. HOT PINK...

....
of course you all know that i bought this because it was HOTTTT... its freakking pink... nothing can beat that yo~! not to mention, it matches my ipod, which coincidentally is black... with a HOT PINK casing.. HAHAHAHA
ahh... camera manufacturers are getting smart these days, they know that they need to capture female customers... especially easy bait like me..... Fortunately for me, there werent much "pink" cameras. There was the sony and the fujifilm and a few others.. maybe around 5 pinks cameras... and and only one HOT pink.. (the rest were baby pink)so obviously we have a winner... (in my opinion, baby pink is soooo last century... hot pink baby)
and what made it even more FANTABULOUS was that, it was DIGITAL SALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE in yodobashi camera (huge electronics chain department store) the usual price of the unit item would have been 34800yen..
but then because of the sale....
512mb (not enough but hey its the package)
camera
ugly travel pouch for camera
warranty
altogether 29000yen!!!
cant get any better than this, but then again, I didnt even survey outside the shop, maybe if I went out of the department store, and went to the streets of Akiba, I could have gotten a lower price.... BUT still I wouldnt collect points!!! Im happy~!
Its time to CAMERAWHORE!!!
loves aplc
ps: 14 days left before i go back to Brunei...

heloo heloo

ok update from me....

hmmm currently bumming my ass off, ahh its a good life if i wasnt swarmed with all these funny expensive bills. i swear winter is the worst season for bills because the more u stay indoors the more expensive everything gets. did i mention that the weather suddenly morph from mild to damn cold? there was a cool day tho where melbourne was covered in a fog hehe u cant see anything thats 3 metres infront of u.something like being on a mountain.

yeah so it was the end of the semester for my faculty so there was alot....i mean alot of partying for me... hahaha i was at my friend's place like all the time (man y do i sound like a bimbo in this) playing guitar hero and cooking and eating and painting. its sooo different having friends who are also good in art. ermm then there was the clubbing... same old same old and then there was a night where i went out with my ozzie friends.

she brought me to a really cool vegie bar called soul mama and it felt like i was eating on kampong ayer coz its at the beach. we then traveled to brunswick st to go dancing. brunswick st is where alot of artistic things happen and is really famous, shoping is damn cheap there n unique. they did a very bruneian thing and drank at an alleyway becuase they dun wanna buy drinks at the club. the club turns out to be this jazz/ soul live band thing.. so cool! i learnt how to salsa by one of my friend's friend. yeah was a good night considering i was still blur from the previous clubbing night

WAH CHIBAI!!!! this just in!!! got shootings in melbourne! the arm shooter is still running around the city!! chibai man! damn scary. he shoot 6 ppl and one is death... damn scary lah... n like william is in the city playing game... so stupid, shud come back home... yeah thats all from me

ask....

... and if you are lucky, sometimes you shall receive...

nothing particular to report from my side, so i shall tell you guys my new lifestyle...

My one month plus staying and truly experiencing a Japanese University life has been hard. Now i understand why all the foreign seniors have been advicing us to try to make friends, join a eca club, dont give up hope.. and all the cheering.. Last year, i never understood why all that was necessary.

I GET IT NOW...

It would have been normal if I was a Japanese girl. or even better a Foreign male. Yes, foreign female students have hell to suffer if you are in Japan. Before coming to Japan, girlfriends cheer on.. GO adeline go! Hot japanese boys! you'll get a boyfriend for sure! they'll love you.. you have more than the average Japanese female.. -_-"" truth be told, i was happy, i was expecting to be famous, miss popular.. HAHA i mean like men no matter what are all the same.. they like bootylicious...

TRUE, but not quite...

here i am entering my second year in Japan, status: still single...

things to learn about Japan in a foreigner's viewpoint.

1)Japanese boys are stupid

- they are too scared to communicate with foreigner girls. They are shy. there goes plan flirtation, seduction and fooling around

2)Japanese girls are like wolves

- they love foreigner boys, when a new batch of foreign students come in, they attack! they waste no time.

3)Being a foreigner girl sucks in Japan

- it is obvious to conclude from the above two points, that being a foreign female, the Japanese male population shy away from you, the rest of the foreign male population gets swallowed by the Japanese girls. It feels like a bargain sale and the girls are grabbing t-shirts...

but its okay, looking for love aside, what about making friends with Japanese...

sighhhhhh.. the only way to make friends in a Japanese university is to go all the after parties. I missed the first two, and after that i go to my freshman class and i see them all in their own social groups already.. and me? sitting alone by myself... The worst has yet to come my friends.. oh no...

In a Japanese classroom, there is gender separation.. spreadeagled like the Red Sea. one whole side for the boys, and the other side for the girls, and there is no one sitting in the centre of the class.. sigh... its not like its set that way, but no one dares to "cross-over" sheesh... I ask my classmates why does this phenomenon occur? they say.. saaa.. nande darou? maybe because of they dont want people to assume that we are together if we sit together theory.. *rolls eyes*

The other night, i went to my first drinking session with my newly found friends (Japanese girls) I asked them if they all were single, NOT! two of them are having a 2yr relationship with their bfs, one of them got the guy she has been crushing on from the first after-party, and the other girl is working on her crush.. Im like.. HOLYYYYYYY.. WHAT THE~??!?!?! please share your wisdom with me sensei~~~

and they turn to me,
what you dont have a boyfriend?!?! "kareshi inai no? uso~!"

no, i dont... and

then they say "nihonjin de ii?" (do you mind Japanese guys?)...

im like sigh.. how am i supposed to catch a guy if theres the gap and then we have to add the fact that im a foreigner thus they shy away from me? sighhhh...

they went: "you have to be quick, do you like anyone in our class? ~kun and ~kun are single and the rest have gfs already" I'm like EH?! so fast?!?! no wait.. how do you all know all this!? eh!?"

and then i asked the girl who recently got her man.. HOW THE HELL DID YOU ACCOMPLISH IT??!

she went:

after the first after-party, i got drunk... i pretended not to know how to go back, i pretended to forget my password to the room, and slept over his place...

me:

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!?!??!?! *早ッ* (fast)

CRAZY!!! these people are crazy! they dont waste time on seduction, romance and flirtation. just get drunk. WOW.. but thats no fun.. getting a lovelife is all about romance and the game! the hell!?!?! while this was happening, the girl who got her man fast proceeded to help the girl who was working on getting her man, she called him over and asked him to help the poor drunk girl.. hoping that they will hit it off... HAHAHA (nothing happened btw)

oh well.. after that drinking session with my friends, the girls obviously got drunk, ahhaah I LOVE DRUNK JAPANESE girls... boys--> have yet to see... the drunk girls hugged me like hugging has been in their culture since the old days, and screamed アデリン好き!(aderin suki!-I like Adeline) I laughed at them and patted their heads.. (they are so short) I like you guys too!! ahhahaha

and me and another girlfriend proceeded to my place, she needed to use my shower (dorms for foreign students have toilets attached to their rooms... Japanese dorms dont... the Japanese students use the common bath which closes at 10pm.. it was already 12pm) lol... she ended sleeping over my place.. man... if i were a guy.. i would have been rejoicing in my heart.. hahaha but then again this girl already had a boyfriend. and im straight.. but none-theless, i managed to have a sleepover with a Japanese girl.. too cool yo! and ever since this drinking sessions, i think ill be able to have friends. Goodbye to the days of sitting by myself in class...

thats all for today..

my update on my 20th bday celebration, THANKS ADELINE FOR THE POSTCARDS!

just b4 i start my rambling, her name must be yuko rite? damn i cant remember how she looks like but yeah it was netball haha not volleyball, cant play volleyball to save my life!

yeah this was the place where i had a damn ex XXXXXXXXX pensive meal, some lebanese restaurant that had belly dancing ( was good) and shisha and 20+ dollar meals for like 3 sausage thingies?! yeah the total bill amount around 98 bucks and i had to pay half of it while william paid half of it too. sandy felt bad n paid for her half... thanks sandy *mauzh*

if you guys are wondering why my smile is so fake, it is because william pissed me off during dinner. i received this txt from him asking me whether i was goin to pay for everyone since sandy paid for ours and josh is goin to pay for us too. so i said yes not knowing how the prices were for this restaurant.... THEN we got there and i looked at the menu and went S**t, i cant afford this. then this william was like 'you hav to pay you hav to pay!' and his boyfriend was like, its alrite i'm goin to treat you on my bday too! i was thinking ' the restaurant you chose isnt goin to be that expensive coz this is really ridiculous!like the prices. those two just talked to themselves and i'm like panicking in my head, totally not enjoying myself at all! the food wasnt even satisfying. then payment time, ppl got annoyed n tons of miscommunication coz willia owes josh this amount n so on blah blah, it was really his own business but he had to deal it on my bday hiyaaaaa i was really at boiling point. it was only when i cud speak to william in private that we sorted things out n guess what... without me knowing anything, william thought i knew that he was goin to pay for this meal and in the end paid half the bill.

so yeah i was happy again, we went to the bottle store to get a bottle of abstinth. mich brought some dessert wine and we were drinking n drinking. met up with the others, drink drink

matula, me, pie and blue (she's high)

the whities! mich, alex,rowen

then we met up with chern yang and though my bro's request, got jagerbombs ( a really cool drink) for everyone and yeah that made me quite drunk.....

me drunk

and then we went to a club where it was ASIAN NITE!!! hahah i just find it funny coz you are not refered to as being chinese, malay indian etc but ASIAN! AHAHHAHAHA yeah anyways, dancing, dancing dancing, ppl smoking, girl crying in toilet, dancing, dancing, then tired. left club at 4am ate kueh toew soup at restaurant, slept at 6am

the next day...

shopping!!!! got a big pillow for bday present, courteosy of lau kong.

the day after...

poetry books and starbucks...was a very good weekend

right now....
constipated and stressed about work

bye bye!

Brunei is too small...

with an area of 5765sq km.... a teeny wee bit bigger than Singapore.. and yet... ITS TOOO SMALL!!!!!

sigh.. i have to take it from the top...

when i was in brunei, I knew 2 bruneians in Japan, one was Jason (his mom and my mom are friends) the other was Najee (my senior in MD in the Literature Department)

Both Jason and Najee were based in Osaka, and thats all that matters to me.. I was after all first based in Osaka...

That was alright, I mean, yeay Bruneian connections is JAPAN!!.. whilst in Osaka, I bonded with Naj. I soon found out that her bestfriend's boyfriend was Sasa's classmate... (whats his name again... ahhh... became House captain of Danson house last time... same time with her ka? I forgot eh..)

Brunei is too small...

While still based in Osaka, I met another senior studying in Kyoto. Azman... he came up to me after hearing my name.. and asked me "hows the restaurant business? do you guys still own the porsche?" I was like.. "EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!" how did you know that?!?!?! He told me that he was my brother's classmate before... He used to come over to the house.. he even knows where I live...

Brunei is too small...

Last year, during Golden Week, I went to Tokyo for the first time... I met the Tokyo-ite Bruneians. I met Rahman.. (the guy who saved me during my Akihabara pinch) He also knows my family... Why?! Because he lives in the same kampung as I do... Our parents would know each other...

Brunei is too small...

This year, when I thought I was the only Bruneian in Tsukuba University, another Bruneian came, her name's Foo Chuan Eng. After talking with her and stuff... bonding and then she asked me... "did you use to take Korean classes in UBD?" im like yesss... why? Do you know my sister? she used to take Korean classes with you too... her name is Ching.. I'm like WTF????!!! thats sooo true!!!! I KNOW BECAUSE I sat beside her.. (due to my childish-ness, thinking.. we have the ching name.. lets stay together!! mind set.. heheh).. so yeah my junior's sister and I went to Korean class in UBD...

Brunei is too small...

Before this post, I met a girl from Chile, another foreign student (The only foreign student from the 1st years that i havent met... that last foreign student) and she told me she met a Japanese girl in her department (Art and Design Dept) who has been living in Brunei all her life.. looking for another Bruneian out there in Tsukuba... Of course I was estastic.. man.. Japanese-Bruneian.. too cool!!!! I have been mailing her like when to meet, due to our hectic (more on her side) schedules, we couldnt meet up.. until~~~ this afternoon... I of course had so many questions.. beginning with.. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING IN BRUNEI?!?!? hahaha and where did you study? well she answered my second question without saying anything.. first thing she did when she saw me.. HUG.. ahhh.. definitely ISB-an.. ahhahahahaha and then she told me about herself.. we talked about for an hour.. it feels so nice to be able to speak to a Japanese person in English.. and not feel worried about my English being too fast or too difficult.. hahahaha and then she told me she knew Serene and Woei Chian.. played volleyball with them... And i was like.. really??!?!?!? man.. thats sooo coooool.. we best friends yo!! and yeah.. she told me how much she missed Brunei.. and Im like wha~?!?!?! she misses her amah..(HAHAHAH) and Im like i know that feeling sooooooooooo well... and then how she misses the Mall.. im like hai???????? but it was SOOOOOOOOO cool how i met someone in Tsukuba who is practically Bruneian.. hahahahaha and then she told me her ex-bf was Kim Wee.. and Im like OH MY GOD!!!! I know him.. he was my sec1-3 classmate.. more like lab partners!!! and then we laughed.. looked at each other with disbelief.. and said at the same time...

Brunei is too small...

and thus i conclude this post with

BRUNEI IS TOOOOOOO FREAKKING SMALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and maybe post some pictures... from the ASEAN FESTIVAL last Sat, where we had to model, our somewhat traditional clothes... this is the Bruneian Family i have in Tokyo

A cup of pee anyone?

A cup of pee anyone?

HAHA..yesterday i had my experimental physiology prac and we had to pee in cups!well containers...like u noe the ones where they put cookies into and sell during chinese new year?...yea but not quite as transparent...haha..ok so in each group there are 6 subjects...

subject 1- Control - doesnt get any waterload
subject 2- Waterload- 8mls times body weight in kg
subject 3- Waterload and ADH(by NASAL spray! eew)- 8 mls times body weight in kg
subject 4- Waterload and exercise- 8 mls times body weight in kg
subject 5- Isotonic saline and glucose( so its SALTY SUGAR WATER!)- 8 mls times body weight in kg
subject 6- 1ml VODKA and 7mls waterload- 8mls times body weight in kg

FUN NO?....then at like every interval of like 30 mins we had to go to the toilet and pee in these containers they gave us..and like analyse sodium content and osmolarity...haha...was quite a mindless prac really...

Pee..measure...dilute...analyse....repeat cycle...i was the control(luckily) so i dint have to do anything but label the sample cups n all..haha...interesting prac if u ask me..so we peed 4 times man =_=..one before the waterload...then 3 times after that...haha...time went by really quick...

At the end all the pee gets chucked down the sink..and we were asked to flush it down with PLENTY of water...heh...some ppl couldnt pee on demand hahahaha...so..no sample...

hehe no pictures of pee in cups (cos number one, thts gross and number two, i dint bring my camera =))

KARE RAISU

it's super easy to make, i just follow the instructions on the Japanese curry pack.. and it's in English! it's for six servings.... so it's quite a lot... just keep the remaining in the fridge... and eat them again tomorrow..lol oz probably have more types of Japanese curry... Brunei only have 1 type..so yeah... and my mum threw the pack away...and i don't remember the brand of the curry and how the curry pack looks like.............................

RECIPE :
1. Stir fry cuts of beef/chicken/lamb/whatever meat and onions(the big ones).. with oil or butter... until the onions turn a bit golden-brown...u can add whatever ingredients u want as well..like potato, carrot....etc etc
2. Then put in about 3 cups of water.... and then cook for about 15 mins
3. Cut the curry cube into smaller pieces and put them in, and then stir non-stop for around 5 mins so that curry pieces wont stuck to the bottom of the pot.....

looking at the pic makes me drool... hungry hungry!! i will probably make again... since i still have the one more curry cube...

sore ja~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Golden Week

...is the longest period of holiday in Japan excluding the season holidays (summer/spring/autumn/winter). It usually has a span over a week thus the name "GOLDEN WEEK".

Needless to say, i spent half of it in Tokyo. First night in Tokyo, I met up with a few friends, had dinner in Shibuya. "TGI's". Shibuya is the place where the infamous story of Hachiko the dog took place. Even meeting up with the friends at Hachiko was confusing because they didnt know that the place was called Hachiko Koen(Hachiko Park) because of the dog. We were supposed to meet by the statue itself but then there were many dog statues and stuff.. they didnt know which one.. but then again there is only ONE official Hachiko statue. sigh.. but then again we all had mobile phones.. not that difficult to swim through crowds, and if you are thinking, we are a bunch of foreigners how hard can it be? WRONG!!! the place is usually crowded with foreigners anyway...

In Tokyo, I bunked over my friends place, which is kinda "strict" being an all girls dorm.. but then again, last time I checked I'm a girl too... They have a curfew, no bringing friends to bunk over. I sneaked in several times but the second night I was busted.. so it was the last night at her place for me. Damn. I have 2 more nights in Tokyo and I'm already HOMELESS!!!! but then I received a mail from a friend asking if I wanna club tomorrow.. I'm like there goes one night.. Now all I need is a place to stay for one night. Invited another girlfriend over to club and decided to bunk at her place! PERFECT!!!

Now to the main story, CLUBBING!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT.. although the journey towards the club was kinda sleazy. We got the map on my mobile and it was not helpful AT ALL!!! ended up walking quite a distance than promised. (10 mins from the station) Not only that we had gone through many dark alleys with bouncers and men selling their "merchandise" behind their windows and rooms (catch my drift?) PLUS i was wearing my newly bought HEELS.. which are completely adorable I TELL YOU!!! i feel so japanese... THUS IT HURT!!! and I havent started dancing yet..

when we got there.. it was kinda disappointing at first because, it was just starting, not a lot of people and then the drinks were expensive.. My guy friend was like.. WHAT? you dont buy your own drinks... get guys to buy you drinks.. and then it DAWNED upon us.. WHY NOT? hehehe..

5am. Saturday. My girlfriend was drunk, me and the guys were sober, not saying that we didnt get any action done that night.. heh

Later that night, my friend mailed me again: "Wanna go clubbing tonight?". Both of us were like "ARGHHHHH" I wanted to go but I didnt have anymore clubbing clothes and not to mention that I was running low on cash. SO TEMPTED>>>> Why do you do this to me?!?!?! But in the end, we all decided to postphone it to this week. YEAH

Sunday. I need to get back home. Which means Akihabara!!! I was kinda screwed because I only had 1000yen left in me.. and that is not enough to get back. (To get back, I need 2000yen) But i was not worried after all I was supposed to meet another fellow Bruneian and my best friend in Akihabara later that day. BUT!!! of course SHIT HAPPENS..

firstly, I left the dorm late because I woke up late and the dorm was FAR from Akihabara, took me an hour to get to Akiba. And then my Bruneian friend told me that he had something to do back at his place.. so cant meet me.. but its okay.. because I made him wait for quite a bit.. so its my fault.. GOMENASAI!! and then so there I was in YODOBASHI CAMERA.. looking around for a new mp3 player. I was wondering around sony or ipod. SONY or IPOD?!?! i decided to get the SONY because it was cheaper. But then the lady told me.. it can only be used with a JAPANESE OS system.. fuck it... so Im back to the IPOD... and then while trying to decide which one should I get.. the shuffle, the new mini, the video. I wanted to take something portable, so I can jog with it.. shuffle looks good... but 14000yen for 1gb seems like a waste. and then i shifted to the MINI.. i wanted big memory space because I wanted to put at least all my songs in it.. so it has to be more than 4gb... I saw the 8gb mini ipod.. wow.. Okay that'll do i guess.. Can i have that in the pink please? WHAT do you mean that it only comes in BLACK!?!?! fuck.. then i get confused again... because the price of the 8gb ipod was only 2000yen difference from the Video IPOD 30gb... i mean like just another 2000yen you get 22gb and the ability to watch videos.. but then that crashes with the whole portability idea... and then the 60gb was just 10000yen difference.. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what do i get?!?!? the 8gb or the 60gb?? IM SO CONFUSED?!?!?!?
In the end, Im not going to watch videos on trains that much SO i decided on the black 8gb mini IPOD.

haaa... that took a lot of decision making.. and then i called for the man to take my order.. and then he asked me whether i have internet connection. Im like not for the moment.. and he is like you need internet to access itunes.. and im like but i have itunes.. hes like itunes 7... I DONT REMEMBER my itunes version... DAMMIT..

BUYING AN MP3 PLAYER IS SOOOOO HARD!!!!

in the end I told him ill deal with it some how.. so I got it.. the black ipod.. and now.. the accessories.. ARGHHHH... more headaches... i need an arm band for jogging and I need a pretty cover... it took such a while because there are two types of mini ipods, the ver2 and the old model.. so yeah.. MANNNNNNNNNN... so complicated.. and when i reached the counter.. i took out my credit card.. and the lady slided the card over the machine several times and gave a troubled look on her face.. i had horrible flashbacks.. (during winter holidays... i tried to get an ipod video but i maxed my credit card...) SHIT>> its the beginning of the month.. I cant have maxed my card already?!?!?! but then she successfully got it done after several tired.. thank the lord!!!

right.. so there i was with my brand new ipod.. yahoo!

that still doesnt solve the problem that i have 1000yen left.. oh wait i kinda used that up too.. i went to a cafe to drink and wait for my bestfriend to come meet me.. so yeah.. bye bye 1000yen... i thought of borrowing money from her to get back to Tsukuba. but then she ALSO doesnt have money. why you ask? (Golden Week the Post Office banks are closed.. not even the ATM machines are open.. we get our monthly scholarship from the Post Office Bank) I personally thought that it was a normal Sunday.. thus we could get some money out.. BUT it wasnt a normal Sunday.. IT was CHILDRENS DAY... i thought that if it was a holiday, it would get pushed on to Monday.. but no.. not the Brunei system.. sigh...

then we realise that we have a different bank account. YES and that one works!!! but.. i checked my wallet... I DIDNT BRING THE CARD!! why?? (because i thought it would control my spending) well.. that sure did come in handy.. and my friend doesnt bring her card either because she uses the passbook.. we tried different ATMs with her passbook but they obviously didnt work. and she offered to go to a different station to withdraw money for me.. so there I was bumming in Akibas streets with 200yen.. sigh (enough for a McDonalds chicken burger and cola.. but Im not going to waste my last 200yen on food) I tried to look for Private bank ATMS which do work by the way.. and since I still have my HSBC and Baiduri cards.. and they are APLUS.. that means i can withdraw money overseas.. but the ATMS dont recognise APLUS... FUCK IT...

lastly, I sms-ed all my bruneian friends in tokyo, wondering if they can help me... my kouhai in Tsukuba was offering to come all the way to Akiba to pick me up.. but I couldnt do that to her.. its far and expensive.. no.. that wont do...

and then the others offered their help.. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THAT by the way... they came to Akihabara lent money to me so I can go back home safely.. sigh.. a long warm bubble bath was definitely in need of the moment...

and thus the end of my adventures and MIS-adventures in Tokyo during GOLDEN WEEK

________
What is AGLOCO all about?

AGLOCO is the first Internet based economic network, which enables you as a Member to ‘Get your share of the internet.’ Advertisers, search companies, online merchants and other businesses currently pay lots of companies to deliver people like you to them to get your attention and sell goods. With AGLOCO they will be paying YOU.
AGLOCO is also a global community of Internet users whose active Members can be paid for all their online activity. By downloading our proprietary Viewbar technology, members benefit from engaging yet unobtrusive content tailored to their interests. AGLOCO also pays its members to refer their friends to the community (and for those friends to refer more friends through four levels of extended referrals.)

How do I earn cash and shares?
Sign up, use the web as usual and earn cash and shares - it really is that simple. Once you install the Viewbar™ software it automatically records the time you're actively online, and we pay you for it. But the first step is to sign up and become a member. It's fast and it's free. If you refer your friends and family we'll pay you even more cash and shares.

How do referrals work?
AGLOCO™ pays you an hourly rate when the friends and family you recruit (called “direct referrals”) use the web with the Viewbar™ running, as well as for people your referrals recruit (called “extended referrals”). Extended referrals continue for four levels past your original referral, and there is no limit to the number of referrals you can accumulate.

AGLOCO Members make money in four ways.
  • Members earn a monthly share of the AGLOCO revenue based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month.
  • Members earn part of the company based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month (currently a maximum of five hours are rewarded).
  • Members who use our referral system to help build the AGLOCO network will earn more. (AGLOCO only has significant value as a large network and people who help build it should be rewarded. – We also feel that the early users who told friends about YouTube or MySpace or even Google probably deserved something too, but no referral system was available to record their work).
  • Members will also get a share of any commissions AGLOCO gets when a Member purchases a product or service from an AGLOCO Sponsor company.
