right.. i forgot where i left off... in actual fact i'm kinda lazy to blog about what i did in Nagano.. go and visit my friend's site.. www.aikoais.blogspot.com.. there got everything nicely detailed and loadsa pictures..
last tuesday night.. we went all the way to KOBE to eat pasta at The Old Spagetti place.. at first I didnt want to go because.. I am after all on a diet.. but then after lots of pressuring and not-so-nice-glances from my Brazil, New Zealand and Malaysian friends, I gave up... I crumbled I despaired..
this time i DID not have to run for the bus... Of the late, there was always a need to run for buses, trains and what not for Adeline Pang, horrible really. but it seems as though on that particular day, there was no urgent need to dash, brisk walk, pace or whatsoever. I took my time, taking the long route to the bus stand. Glorious evening it was...
Upon reaching the train station.. we debated, fussed and concluded that the train we needed to get to Kobe Harbourland was indeed the 510yen train.. and indeed it was...
Situated 20minutes walk from my dorm, lies a bookstore/cdstore/rental shop.. it used to only provide dvd/tapes/cd rentals.. of all movies including porn.. (lol).. but i guess their new years resolution was to diversify and rent out COMICS!! yes COMICS.. why did i suddenly enter a paragraph which has nbot connection whatsoever to the previous paragraph? Because, my dear inquisitive friends, I have been hooked, lined and SUNK by this BRILLIANT plan of the shop.. i rent all the Manga i want.. 10 books for a week, 600yen.. isnt that BEAUTIFUL?!!?!?!? (for your info: one manga costs about 300yen here) so yeah.. im saving so much money.. and reading so much manga.. this was the primary reason why i Didnt want to go to Kobe for pasta.. after all, i have manga to finish reading... yes.. much more important than the urges of the gut, surpassing the bodyily desires of energy supply.. MANGA is life....
but then again.. i went... because my friendship was at stake... sigh...
so, not wanting to give up reading, i brought the manga and read it throughout the train ride... i brought only one book, thinking that my friends will be bothering me thus slowing down my reading speed... Alas! if only it were so, i finished the book before reaching Kobe, and my friends were off in their own world listening to their own music.. Why? where's my Ipod.. you ask.. I'm afraid that went down the drain ages ago.. you see the Ipod may be beautiful, sleek, posh and all that.. but it dies after a certain period of time... Obviously mine has already reached this "certain period of time". Thus me wanting to buy a NEW ipod.. which brings me to tell of a tale when I wa s in Tokyo trying to purchase my Ipod Video.. but failed because i MAXED my card... the tragedy! the Humiliation! the HORROR!! sigh.. thus the tale of the ALMOST IPOD VIDEO
returning to the tale of the Pasta Night, we left the station to find that the place (station/ streets) was deserted... it was only 8pm.. sad really.. I'm beginning to believe that there is no nightlife in Japan besides the red-light districts and Karaoke bars... went to the restaurant... ate.. If you are wondering why on earth to we have to go all the way to Kobe to eat Pasta when we have many fine Pasta restaurants in Umeda or Osaka itself? well because... they give non-stop replenishable garlic bread.. Its like water refills.. but GARLIC BREAD.. me being cheap and on a "diet" phase.. i ordered what supposedly was salad..but I changed my mind.. fried chicken.. my friends ordered spagetti sets.. haha
so there we were 4 LOUD foreigners requesting for the Garlic Bread every five minutes.. me eating my chicken, and the rest eating their pasta meals.. One very particular and unique characteristic of this restaurant is that, it has Bed like chairs.. the setting of the restaurant was classy and majestic... Booth chairs, it was shaped like a bed.. not just any ordinary bed.. it was the ones where you can tie up your lover in bed and perform like a beast.
you see where I'm heading? yes after our glorius meal, we had crazy talk once again.. we pretended to have orgasms on the chair because of the bed rails.. well I didnt do such thing because I had my modesty in check.. the others though.. lol.. had no self control nor praticed restraint.. there we were four LOUD female foreigners moaning and grasping the bed rails and laughing our heads off... the waiters and waitresses were astounded at our behaviour... and they couldnt stop saying "oniichan"; which means (elder) brother, by the way, which constitutes to a certain amount of "moe" (pronounced mo-e) to a portion of the male population around the world (i think). I was embarassed.. but laughed hard all the same.. I felt sorry for the couples in the restaurant.. sitting in the booths in front of us and behind us... having to have to listen to repeated horny lines from movies like Full Metal Jacket? "Me so horny baby.. me love you long time.." "sucky sucky ten do- llah".. we repeated saying this all the way to the dorm.. which includes the bus trip and such.. and not to mention that my New Zealand friend and Malaysian friend can do the stitch voice.. it was as if they sucked in Helium gas.. but only naturally. All the way to the dorm, in high pitched voices it continued.. catching attention from Japanese people all around. RESPECT to my sisters...
*moe- turn on?
and thus end the Pasta Epic
love aplc
